About us:

Our employees describe us as very fast, very flexible and lots of fun.  We are a young company and we are now just shy of 1000 employees in approximately 45 offices around the country.

In a nutshell, we provide air quality testing services, water testing and wastewater management services, and soil remediation/biogas management services.  Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value (e.g., new streams of income) to clients beyond environmental compliance.  For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink and the soil on which they live.

The environmental services industry that we operate in is dynamic by definition but because we are acquiring companies and growing rapidly, our portfolio of services and storyline is constantly evolving.  As we integrate the stories of the companies we acquire into our fabric and continue to develop and articulate our story publicly, we are looking to add a key member to our team to bolster our marketing capabilities.  We are looking for a dynamic, experienced VP/Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing who is thrives in a fast-pace environment and who is comfortable being a part of (and driving) change.  Our audience is broad – our message will reach our customers, our employees, our community and our shareholders.  In addition, the media by which we currently speak are both traditional and new and include our field teams who function as most of our sales force, conferences with thought leaders, written collateral, video blogs, investor letters, and social media.  Exceptional written and verbal skills coupled with chemistry will be the key determinants for us because we have a unique (and quite successful) blend of very experienced environmental engineers/operators coupled with very high tempo leaders.  Our chemistry is a large part of our success to-date.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the EVP Operations, the VP/Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing is a core member of the corporate team.  He/She will be responsible for the following functions: managing the consistency of company’s message and voice, managing the quality of the company’s publicly accessible materials across all media, helping increase customer awareness of the company’s capabilities, helping the CEO and CFO communicate with investors (particularly in a public company context), helping the CEO communicate with employees and the community, and partnering with field teams and technical business development leaders to maintain and enhance relationships with customers.  Our VP/Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing will help establish a company-wide message and voice and provide support to the management and operating teams to amplify that message and voice.  The ideal candidate will have exquisite communication skills, senior leadership and management experience, and a ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ independence.
