Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, a vibrant, young company started in 2012, now just shy of 1,000 employees in approximately 40 offices around the country.  Our employees describe us as very fast, very flexible and lots of fun.


Enthalpy Analytical is comprised of over 8 laboratories servicing air, water, soil and tobacco testing. Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value (e.g., new streams of income) to clients beyond environmental compliance. For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink and the soil on which they live.


The Accounting Administrator performs a wide range of duties related to account payable and accounts receivable.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment while working with all levels of employees/management within the Company and outside of the Company (our clients, customers and vendors), and managing multiple responsibilities.  This is for our Richmond, VA location.


Responsbilities Include:


AP Duties

  • Review, code and enter vendor invoices in accounting/CRM platform – NetSuite
  • Scan invoices and maintain organized vendor files (locally)
  • Assist Headquarters Finance team with vendor account management
  • Assist Headquarters Finance team with sales tax tracking
  • Support vendor inquiries regarding account status and payment processing

AR Duties

  • Draft invoices for review and submit finialized invoices to customer.  Maintain records for Project Manager's reference
  • Provide customer account statements, confirm invoice receipt, secure payment date and maintain collection notes in NetSuite
  • Prepare credit memos with supporting documentation
  • Utilize client/3rd Party hosted purchasing platforms (i.e., Coupa, Arriba)


  • Excercise safe work practices by following Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
  • Participate in company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.



  • Associate's Degree in Accounting from an accredited university or equivalent of combination of education, training and experience, required.  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, preferred.
  • 1+ year of general accounting experience, required.  CRM/NetSuite experience, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficient with Microsoft software
  • Be able to deliver and receive electronic documents
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills
  • Able to work independently and manage mulitple responsibilities (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated)
  • English language competency
