Responsibilities

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, a vibrant, young company started in 2012, now just shy of 1000 employees in approximately 40 offices around the country.  Our employees describe us as very fast, very flexible and lots of fun.

 

Enthalpy Analytical is comprised of over 8 laboratories servicing air, water, soil and tobacco testing. Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value (e.g., new streams of income) to clients beyond environmental compliance. For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink and the soil on which they live.

 

The Facilities Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, work stations, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and public areas.  This position is for our Durham, NC lab.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Collects and disposes of trash and garbage following approved lab procedures
  • Perform general cleaning of all areas of the building, as directed
  • Seeks out areas requiring cleaning, takes initiative to complete task
  • Refills soap and paper products in bathrooms and kitchen/break areas, as needed
  • Complete non-routine cleaning, as directed
  • Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for routine pick-up
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of janitorial or custodial experience
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds, as necessary
  • Takes initiative to ensure cleanliness of facility

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience cleaning a laboratory environment, strongly preferred
  • Solid organization and time management skills
  • English language competency
