Responsibilities

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, a vibrant, young company started in 2012, now just shy of 1000 employees in approximately 40 offices around the country.  Our employees describe us as very fast, very flexible and lots of fun.

 

Enthalpy Analytical is comprised of over 8 laboratories servicing air, water, soil and tobacco testing. Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value (e.g., new streams of income) to clients beyond environmental compliance. For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink and the soil on which they live.

 

Our Hampton, NH location is looking for a full-time Analyst II to perform chemical measurements and other tasks to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time.  

 

Responsibilities:                                                                            

  • Quantitative semi volatile VOC analysis
  • Preparation of data summaries for inclusion in client reports
  • Sample and standard preparation
  • Instrument calibration, validation, and method development
  • Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis, equipment maintenance and data collected off site
  • Maintain consumables and parts for instruments
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
  • Communicating relevant updates to applicable people in a timely manner
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company
  • Compliance with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Compliance with Company’s Health and Safety Plan
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

 

  • Associates degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent training)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (academic or professional)
  • Must be able to handle some non-routine samples or situations. 
  • Must be able to work on multiple batches with only minimal instruction from their supervisor
  • Must be able to routinely meet QA/QC requirements for the assays they perform, without supervision
  • Documentation, timeliness, and throughput must meet the standard of the laboratory. 

 Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of semi-volatiles experience
  • Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
