    Position Responsibilities


    • Responsible for oversight and evaluation of department personnel.
    • Responsible for management of environmental compliance projects and clients.
    • Oversee and manage the staffing of project managers and field personnel schedules.
    • Engage with existing clients on current and new scopes of work and costs; develop proposals and estimates to address client needs.
    • Manage the profitability of projects within the group.
    • Develop and win new clients and/or scopes of work; develop proposals and estimates and work with existing team members to collaborate on and win new business.
    • Lead point of day-to-day contact for client relationships within the team; work collaboratively with current senior leaders of the group to engage closely with key, long-term clients.
    • Schedule and oversee field work; work closely with field techs and clients to ensure that all needs are being met.
    • Review field activities, client and vendor invoices, approve labor time, costs and procurement.
    • Prepare project profitability reports for financial analysis and monitor cost control.
    • Identify and pursue business opportunities with new or existing clients; prepare proposals and cost estimates.
    • Collaborate with other internal teams and their clients; work to cross-sell services where possible.
    • Assist with group staffing and sourcing the talent required to meet client needs; work with senior leaders and human resources to identify areas for development and growth.
    • Plan and procure all necessary equipment in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements of the client and/or project; ensure all current, in-house equipment meets all required standards and assist with identifying new equipment that may be needed.
    • Ensure that the project managers and field team have the necessary field supplies and PPE.
    • Lead vendor management and procurement (i.e., labor/material cost estimates).
    • Responsible for operational permits and programs to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and to control compliance costs.
    • Manage the group and address employee performance and expectations, as well as any employee concerns.
    • Review field and lab data for environmental compliance with permits and regulatory standards.
    • Complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40 hour HAZWOPR environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher classes.
    • Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
    • Participate in company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Google and/or PC programs
    • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Solid organization and time/project management skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work independently manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
    • English language competency
    • Willingness and ability to travel as needed


    • HAZWOPER certification
    • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Geology or related
    • Professional Engineering or Geology Registration
