    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    We are looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator who will be reporting to the SVP of MAQS Operations. The position will be based out of our Newburyport, MA office. Our Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for an array of responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Coordinates all elements of trade show and event management including securing booth registration, registering attending employee(s), ordering exhibiting services, shipping event displays and booth materials, overseeing on-site and off-site logistics, and other related support tasks.
    • Establishes and maintains consistent relationships with third party vendors to promote value and cost savings.
    • Manages the ordering and shipping of marketing merchandise inventory (e.g. shirts, hats, etc.) for Company personnel as requested.
    • Responsible for editing and formatting Company pamphlets and presentations.
    • Responsible for making hotel reservations, car rentals and/or flights for trade shows and other events.
    • Receives and processes internal business card requests for both new and existing employees.
    • Sources, negotiates and manages selected vendors and supplies to ensure event goals and timelines are met.
    • Assists with managing social media platforms including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
    • Prepares budgets and ensure adherence to budgets once approved.
    • Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety programs.
    • Participates in Company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associates Degree, preferably in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or Communications from an accredited university
    • 2+ years of marketing experience and/or general office experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Google, and/or PC programs
    • Intermediate experience with Adobe programs and social media platforms
    • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Solid organization and time management skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
    • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or Communications from an accredited university
    • Familiarity with coordinating proprietary events, meetings, and tradeshows
    • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with working with CRM systems, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or event management software(s)
