    We are looking for a Staff Scientist who will be joining our team based out of Robbinsville, NJ.  This individual will work with project managers to conduct field work and prepare deliverables for numerous projects involving environmental remediation services in New Jersey, throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, and across the country.  As needed, conduct field work, which will include sampling and oversight.  Field work will include, but is not limited to, soil, groundwater, air, surface water and sediment sampling.

     

    • Conduct environmental investigation and remediation field work.
    • Responsible for preparation and completion of project deliverables.
    • Participate in emergency response services (including 24/7 on-call)
    • Plan and procure all necessary equipment for project execution.
    • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
    • Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
    • Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental/Earth Sciences, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
    • 4+ years of environmental related experience including demonstrated progress in consulting.
    • Strong knowledge of applicable Federal, state and local regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
    • Ability/willingness to travel
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Solid organization and time management skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills, must have legible handwriting
    • Able to work independently
    • English language competency
    • Must be able to successfully complete a medical exam designed to evaluate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position (e.g. bending, kneeling, standing, confined space entry, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 30 pounds) with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Must be able to wear a respirator.
