    The Laborer is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor and operating equipment working in environmental construction, remediation and site work. The Laborer is responsible for performing a wide range of field services at the direction of the Construction Foreman. As such, the duties are broad in nature, but may include the following:


    • Perform skilled labor which includes: soil and groundwater sample collection, underground piping, concrete place & finish, hand and power tool operation, basic carpentry and hand excavation. 
    • Inspect and perform operations and minor maintenance on field mechanical systems.
    • Operate the following equipment: mini-excavators, loader, skid-steer, backhoe, roller, and jack-hammer.
    • Perform heavy-lifting and work in outdoor environments and conditions.
    • Be responsive and keep construction foreman/manager informed of site conditions and activities.
    • Practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
    • Participate in company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2+ years of experience as a skilled laborer with basic equipment operating skills in the construction field
    • Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability/willingness to travel up to 100%
    • Complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher classes.
    • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, such as monitoring equipment and tools, with or without assistance.
    • Ability/willingness to work long hours/conditions and sometimes in adverse weather conditions
    • Basic computer knowledge
    • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills, must have legible handwriting
    • English language competency

    Preferred Skills


    • HAZWOPER certification
    • CDL license or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date.
    • 5+ years of experience as a skilled laborer with advanced equipment operating skills in the construction field.
