    Enthalpy Analytical, part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 8 laboratories servicing air, water, soil and tobacco testing.  Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.  For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink, and the soil on which they live.  


    We are currently seeking a full-time Smoke Laboratory Technician for our laboratory in Durham, NC.    This position will work day shift, Monday through Friday (overtime and weekend schedule may be required based on business need).  The hourly range for this position is between $16.00-$20.00/hour, which will be commensurate with experience.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Prepare smoke extracts for analysis
    • Follow documentation requirements
    • Calibrate, maintain and repair instrument
    • Comfortable working with chemicals and glassware
    • Maintain reagents and supplies inventory and order replacements
    • Keep workstation clean and organized
    • Ability to remain flexible and handle changing priorities
    • Other duties, as assigned


    • No experience required
    • Desire to work in a science field
    • Comfortable using basic computer programs (Excel, Word, etc)
    • Position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a desire to worth both as part of a team and independently
