  • Responsibilities

    Montrose Environmental Group is looking to hire a full-time Environmental Analyst/Assistant Project Manager who will be based out of our office in Sacramento, CA.   


    We are seeking candidates to assist in the management and preparation of environmental technical reports, ranging from complex multi-chapter NEPA and CEQA documents to simple scientific memoranda. Typical projects include environmental impact reports (EIRs), environmental impact statements (EISs), water rights projects, water supply, and other types of environmental reports. The selected candidate will work on projects and visit sites throughout California and the U.S. The position involves opportunities for career growth and to build professional relationships with peers, regulatory agencies and clients. The individual chosen for this position will contribute to and gain management experience from AES’s qualified team.



    • Help coordinate, plan and administer minor to complex environmental studies, including EISs, EIRs, and related documents.
    • Conduct environmental impact analysis and work with a team to develop mitigation strategies.
    • Compose letters, technical memorandums, and technical reports. Edit reports, correspondence, permit applications, and business development materials.
    • Conduct field surveys and collect environmental data.
    • Ensure the integrity and completeness of all documents with strong QA/QC procedures.
    • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
    • Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
    • Participates in company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.  
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Candidates should have a 4-year degree in environmental studies, geography, natural resources, physical sciences, or related fields, along with one (1) or more years of applicable experience. 


     The ideal candidate will have:

    7. Technical proficiency in one or more environmental disciplines, such as land use planning, biology, air quality and/or water quality
